Pecan and cacao protein bars

These protein bars areĀ one of my favourite recipes at the moment. They are a great healthy alternative if you are trying to cut back on refined sugar.

They are super quick and easy to make, and are absolutely delicious!


  • 1 1/2 cups of pecans
  • 1 cup medjool dates, pitted
  • 3 tablespoons of cacao powder



Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until it forms a sticky dough, turn it out into a small tray and freeze for a few hours, after this they can be kept in the fridge.


*tip – if you can’t get your hands on medjool dates you can buy dried dates and soak them in boiling water for 15 minutes before you use them
