This is the perfect smoothie for Monday morning. Maca is packed full of nutrients and is a great energy booster.

 

Some other great benefits of maca are;

 

Packed full of vitamins: Maca is rich in vitamins B, C, and E.  It is also packed full of  calcium, zinc, iron and magnesium which are all very important for overall health.

Energy booster: After a few days of using maca, energy levels will increase. It is a great natural way of keeping your energy levels up without caffeine

Improved skin:  Many people take maca for skin problems, it can help to clear acne and blemishes. It is also great for skin sensitivity which is perfect in this cold weather.

Mood balancing: Maca has been known to overcome stress, anxiety and even depression so if your week is getting too much, grab some!

 

Here is my green energising smoothie recipe:

 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup pineapple
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp maca powder

 

Method:

Place all of the ingredients in the blender (harder ingredients by the blade) and blend.

 

Enjoy.
