CLOVE Food Co Supper Club

The most delicious supper club…

On Wednesday this week a friend of mine and I attended CloveFoodCo’s first supper club. It was held in the amazing Hally’s in Parsons Green. We arrived at 7.30pm to be welcomed with a cocktail of prosecco with rhubarb, orange and lemongrass, which was just what I was after!

The tables were set up beautifully with incredible raw crudité and a variety of different dips. There were also  individual little bottles of homemade tahini dressing for each guest on the table.

We munched our way through purple carrots, radishes and fresh green peas while chatting, mostly about how tasty the beetroot hummus was!

Up next was the starter: marinated feta, watermelon and mint salad with Danish rye, beautiful to look at and absolutely delicious to eat, there was a subtle hint of chilli that I loved.

We were asked to choose the main course prior to arriving. I had ordered the herbed fennel tart with a polenta crust, wild garlic salsa verde and a ribboned asparagus, radish and mint salad. It was the best, everything had been thought about and it all came together amazingly well. I think this was my favourite course. The other choice was wild hake with a minted pea puree, braised celeriac and fennel that looked incredible too.

Pudding was a blackcurrant leaf sorbet and raw white chocolate ice cream with pomegranate seeds and it was the perfect way to finish such a enjoyable evening, it was fresh, interesting and something that I haven’t had before.

It was a really great evening, quite simply delicious food and it was great to see people getting so excited about good wholesome, healthy food.

I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for the next one.
